The Executive Governor of Zamfara State, His Excellency Dr. Dauda Lawal, has given full scholarships to 50 students to study at Biga College of Education in Sokoto Nigeria.
This strategic investment aligns with the government's Six point agenda and the repositioning of education. The scholarship like many others is aimed at addressing the growing manpower needs of trained teachers who are equipped with the necessary knowledge and skills of the teaching profession.
While speaking at their departure meeting at the Zamfara State Scholarship Board in Gusau today the 13th of April 2026, the Director of Planning, Monitoring and Statistics, Malam Ahmad Haruna, encouraged the students to be good ambassadors of the state and their various local governments. The students who are 50 in number thanked his Excellency, Dr Dauda Lawal for the opportunity accorded to them. They promised to receive the necessary teacher's training in order to contribute their own quarter to the development of the state.
